I'm looking to minimalise the environmental impact of travelling as much as possible, so have been looking at alternatives to flying. Here's a couple of useful sites I've came across:

http://www.seat61.com

http://www.noflights.com

These are mostly UK/Europe focussed, but do have a lot of info on the rest of the World. If you know of any other good resources for overland and sea travel please share them!

That is good stuff.  Does flying have that much more of a harmful impact than other modes of travel?
