Markets in Sa Pa are just the same as some other local markets elsewhere with one exception Cho Tinh. Cho Tinh means a flirting market, which takes place every Saturday. I was told that they had this market a long time ago starting with a lady, who could not tell her lover that she loved him, suddenly began a dance right in the middle of a weekend market and told a verdor that she loved him. After their marriage they have started to hold this flirting market, where men and women can express their love more easily and even though that they might be rejected, it is still a really nice oppotunity to try.
